Ergonomists refer to “postural rotation,” which, in the case of workplace ergonomics, means sitting for a while, standing for a while, and repeating this throughout the day. Using a standing desk doesn’t mean standing for eight to 10 hours a day. Ideally, the desk should be adjustable so the user has the option to sit
