Table 8 shows the percentage in the strategies of e-mail writing. Most the
respondents agreed that they preferred to state the point directly on e-mail,
representing 63.5%. Moreover, they focused on the reason if they would like to
send a persuasive e-mail, accounting for 64.1%. Then, they also agreed with
minimizing an argument when they had to e-mail for approval or for an important
decision, representing 58.2%. However, the respondents did not care about
dividing the message into main idea, supporting idea and conclusion, accounting
for 40%. Like the percentage in dividing the message, the respondents did not
prefer to de-emphasize the negative message by using indirect words or complex
sentences, accounting for 40%.
