However, Ethier et al. (2006) drew three conclusions from their work on web site
quality, i.e. “First, website quality is an unclear and complex concept that has multiple
dimensions. Second, there is no consensus on a definition of it. Third, even though most
of the studies postulated that website quality was a determinant of website success,
effectiveness, preference, and customer satisfaction, the assumptions were not always
supported with empirical evidence.
