Recently, the interests in the production of nanofibers to be
specifically used in different analytical applications have increased
[18–20]. Basically, the electrospinning process is based on a similar
phenomena as electrospray ionization [21]. In this approach, by
increasing the voltage, the jet of the polymer ejects from the Taylor
cone and the polymer jet is withdrawn toward the collector
electrode. At the end of the process, a non-woven nanofiber mat is
collected on the surface of a conductive collector with nano-scaled
diameters.
