Table 1 shows that higher values of uric acid were
significantly associated with adolescence, altered SBP,
hypertriglyceridemia, and MS. No significance was observed
when correlating levels of uric acid with the presence of
steatosis. The chance of having hyperuricemia was higher
in the following groups: adolescence (PR = 8.87), high SBP
(PR = 3.87), and those with MS (PR = 3.51).
