General Information Supplier Evaluation

Currently every plant or region evaluates its suppliers with different processes and tools. In some cases the evaluations are consolidated on regional level. For several audits ALPLA has to provide a consolidated supplier evaluation but huge manual efforts are necessary to create this overview. Therefore the target was to create a concept for a standardized supplier evaluation tool. This tool will be available for all main materials managed in AlplaPROD modules (resin, colours and additives and packaging). The supplier evaluation is based on two AlplaPROD modules – AlplaSTOCK and AlplaPURCHASE. It consists of three parts:
• Incoming goods rating: evaluate material quality and packaging quality (AlplaSTOCK) as well as delivery date and quantity (AlplaPURCHASE)
• Claim rating: claims which are identified either during production or customer complaints which can be linked to bad quality of the material will influence the evaluation result
• Cooperation rating: is used to evaluate suppliers on service, communication and flexibility
