Two different effects of the HV traction network’s input
impedance are shown with this setup: first, the impact of termination
mismatch and line resonances on conducted emissions
are quantified. Second, the setup is used to evaluate the difference
between the component level EMC test and a setup, which
is closer to a vehicle situation. Whereas the HV harness in the
component level test is terminated with LISNs, the traction battery
emulation presented replaces the HV LISNs in the shielded
compartment; this results in a harness impedance similar to vehicle
level.
