The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) has the second
largest teacher preparation program in the state, graduating approximately
400 students per year. Students are required to take Human
Growth and Learning, offered through the Education department,
which covers standardized testing as well as numerous other topics.
Students are also required to take a course in Instructional Systems,
which is partially devoted to the coverage of measurement topics.
Students receive instruction in objectives, teacher-made tests, grading,
and alternative forms of assessment such as student products and
checklists. In addition, measurement topics are covered in the methods
courses.
