The dataset DS1 consists of 48 ECG recordings, each 30
min long, with a total of about 109,000 RR intervals. The data
were obtained by the Beth Israel Hospital Arrhythmia
Laboratory between 1975 and 1979. They were recorded from
25 men (aged between 32 to 89 years) and 22 women (aged
between 23 to 89 years) at a sampling rate of 360 Hz using
Holters. The position and type of each beat has been manually
annotated by at least two independent cardiologists and the
information was also encapsulated in the dataset. According to
the ANSI/AAMI EC57: 1998 standard, four paced recordings
(102, 104, 107, and 217) were excluded.
