The basal medium consisted
of 2 % soluble starch, 0.03 % K2HP04, 0.1 %
NaNO" 0.5% polypeptone in tap water, and pH was
adjusted to 3.5. Jar fermentation was performed with
the following medium, 10% glucose, 0.1 % KH,P04 ,
0.05% MgS04, 0.7% polypeptone and 0.1 % Nikkol
BC 10TX in distilled water.
