Symbiotic seed germination promoted by
isolate Da-KP-0-1 was affected by germination substrates since
seeds sown on soil in the presence of the same fungus showed significantly
lower percentage of germination (37.8%). On the other
hand, fungal isolate Ps-KT-0-1 in all of the studied substrates
resulted in equal seed germination percentages (50.5–53.3%). All
treatments with fungal inoculation yielded significantly higher
germination percentages compared to control treatments, which
resulted only 6.5–12.1% of germination. Similar to germination percentages,
average developmental stages of seeds/protocorms of all
inoculation treatments were also significantly higher than those of
uninoculated treatments (Fig. 2B). Peat moss inoculated with fungal
isolate Da-KP-0-1 was the most effective in promoting protocorm
