The findings of the study revealed that
there was immediate effect of foot massage
and reflexology on the systolic and diastolic
blood pressure, hear t rate and oxygen
saturation level. But with the comparison of
first six controlled observation and post
interventional observations, no long term
effect of intervention was recorded on
physiological parameters. So, Nurse
practitioners can be trained in the use of the
foot massage and reflexology to provide
immediate relief to the patients. For assessing
long term effects, it is recommended to take
up another long term study by controlling
more variables.
