In the present work, hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolite samples,with different contribution of the secondary porosity, have beenemployed for preparing bifunctional catalysts by incorporating Ni particles. The enhanced mesopore surface area and volume presentin hierarchical ZSM-5 is expected to increase the accessibility of thereactant molecules and the dispersion of the metal phase, offering new possibilities for tuning the catalytic activity and, more importantly the product distribution, in the conversion of rapeseed oil.
