The Lesson Is Not the Product
As should be clear by now, lesson study is not primarily about producing a lesson.
It is about developing the knowledge, dispositions, relationships, and windows into each other's classrooms that we need to improve instruction and to make our schools places where we will all continue to learn. Figure 1-3 highlights the interwoven changes that occur over time, in individual teachers, the teacher learning
community, and instructional materials and tools.
