Tulsi expressed hope Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not compromised any of the national interest in the Indo-Japan nuclear deal.
"Japan was insisting that guarantee should be given to it that the nuclear fuel should not be diverted for military purposes. They have also asked for guarantee that annual statement will be given to them on how much fuel will be generated after reprocessing," he added.
He pointed out that India stood firm on its benefit with the atomic group that it won't open for inspection of instillations.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe batted for transforming India's transportation sector through various mediums, one of which is to put in place High Speed Railways (HSR) with the help of high speed technology.
Both the Prime Ministers welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation on the introduction of Japan's High Speed Railways (HSR) technologies (the Shinkansen System) on the Mumbai-Ahmadabad route.
