Computer modelling and simulation study
In this study, it is aimed at dimension analysis of the insulation block composed
of EPS and pumice and the study is carried out based on simulation study. Simulation
study is separately conducted on both EPS and pumice. Analysis of compressive
strength, heat transfer and capacity and block weight for each EPS and pumice block
combinations are obtained through ANSYS 12.1 simulation program by changing
the thicknesses of both EPS and pumice blocks by means of CATIA V5 R19 computer
simulation program.
Design and dimensions of the insulation block currently in use are given in
Fig. 1a and b design parameters shown in Fig. 2 are changed systematically. Each
design is drawn and compressive strength analysis is carried out by CATIA V5
