In vitro
and in vivo antioxidant potentials of a polysaccharide isolated from
A. vera gel were investigated. Enzymatic extracts were prepared
from A. vera gel using 10 digestive enzymes including five carbohydrases
and five proteases. Results suggested that Aloe polysaccharides
exhibited a protective effect against 2,20-azobis(2-
amidinopropane) dihydrochloride-induced oxidative stress and
cell death in kidney epithelial cells (Vero cells) as well as in an
in vivo zebrafish model
