Care in Emergency
Ø Whatever moral or humanitarian obligations there may be,
there is no obligation or duty in the absence of a statutory
provisions to vie care to a person in an emergency.
Ø KNOW the law of your state.
v i.e: A person involved in an accident in which person are
injured MUST NOT leave without giving aid.
v When an obligation is undertaken voluntarily, it becomes
one’s duty to give every necessary service that the situation
calls for.
v i.e: NO one is obliged by law to assist a stranger, even though
he can do so by a word and without the slightest danger
himself, but once he has undertaken to give assistance, the law
imposes on him a duty of care toward the person assisted.
