The table reveals tha the daily energy demand of the
station is approximately 2.9 MWh/day and the annual electrical
energy required is1024MW/annum. The aim is to determine the
wind turbine/battery hybrid system out of the commercially
available one that will meet the electrical energy demand with
less cost of energy and net present cost using only the wind energy
resource of the station. In order to cater for the intermittency of
wind speed,storage battery and power electronic converter are
considered.
