Sidney scorching – temperature soars to 45.8 degrees
Sydney is sweltering as the temperature soars to 45.8 degrees Celcius, forcing the (weather) bureau to add new colour codes in its weather forecast map.
The Australian Meteorological Department disclosed that on January 18, Sidney experienced (faced) its hottest weather in 150 years (with the temperature) at 45.8 degrees Celsius. It warned the people to brace themselves for fluctuating weather and severe heat waves in the future.
