3.2.1. Participants
A total of 34 participants, 15 males and 19 females completed the study. The majority of the sample was nonobese (BMIb30) (56%), college educated (85%), and either White/Caucasian (47%) or Asian (50%). There were no differences as a function of gender for age, TFEQ (disinhibition, hunger), BES, QEWP, race, education, or income (all p> .046).
There was a significant gender difference in TFEQ restraint score (β=−4.183; (p= 0.009) with females having higher
scores than males (Table 1). TFEQ restraint scores were used as covariates in the subsequent analyses.
