Planning and feedback stages. Toward the end of the first day, a transition was made
from awareness to personal application and planning. Each participant reviewed the
feedback previously received from subordinates in regard to his or her leadership
behaviors. Opportunities were provided for one-on-one discussions of the results. Each
participant was asked to begin formulating a personal action plan stating in specific
behavioral terms ways in which he or she intended to increase effective leadership
behaviors and decrease non-effective ones.
