It is important to emphasize that the glucose concentration
in the hydrolysate produced from untreated BSG was low
(0.84 g/l), but the cellulose content in this sample was also low
compared with the other two samples (Table 1). The higher the
cellulose content, the higher the glucose concentration that could
be achieved in the hydrolysate. For the untreated, cellulignin and
cellulose pulp of BSG, these maximum valueswould be 3.7, 7.6,
and 20.1 g/l, respectively.
