4. Application
In order to validate the suitability of the proposed method it was
applied to the determination of nitrite in meat products and water
samples prepared as described inSection 2.4. Parallel determination
was also carried out to validate the recommended method with the
Griess standard method[20]. The results are presented in Tables 2
and 3. As can be seen there is good agreement between the mean
values of the Griess standard and the proposed method.
