Abstract - Aschere for sensorless reasurement of rotor speed and slipusing rotor slot haroonics of a three phase squir relcage induction motor i s proposed in this paper. The scheme is
irplerentedusing aicrocontroller 80C196 to develop an'ELECTRONIC TACHOIIETER' and is based on 8 novel technique of
extractingrotorslot harAonics fror the various voltage
ripples induced in the stator windings. The paper also
discusses the various schemes to process the rotorslot
harmonic signal to obtai r ot or speed and slip information.
Experiuental result s are presented.
