“The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” was published in 1989 and the world welcomed it with open arms. It sold over 25 million copies in 38 languages, and the author, Dr. Stephen R. Covey was included in Time’s most Influential Americans in 1996. The impact of the book during such time was far and wide. Susan M. Baile, Ph. D of the University of Kansas and Dean W. Collinwood, Ph. D, Director of the Center of Advanced Research at FranklinCovey Institute together published a short study entitled, “Organizational Impact of the 7 Habits on Schools and Colleges.” Baile identified six schools that utilized the teachings in Covey’s book, wherein the lessons of the 7 Habits was integrated in the teaching methods of the schools and employees as well. Baile interviewed around 140 individuals that comprised of students and school faculty alike that produced the following results:
