Having a little trouble understanding the rumored Shinawatra strategy here. If the regime kills a large number of opposition supporters and the army stages a coup.. wouldn't that be bad for the regime since the army is nominally pro Yellow Shirt? What would stop the army from hauling the Shinawatras and their minions to a military tribunal followed by a firing squad? Killing a large number of citizens would give the army a reason to do just that. Wouldn't it?
