Degradation of pesticide mixtures by T. versicolor
in StEM
The degrading ability of T. versicolor was tested in
StEM where the pesticides (50 mg l-1
each) were
added as mixtures according to their use in practice.
Thus, one mixture comprised TBZ, OPP and IMZ
commonly used for the postharvest treatment of citrus
fruits. The second mixture comprised of TM and DPA
which are used in the postharvest treatment of pome fruits. Triplicate inoculated and non-inoculated StEM
cultures containing the pesticides in mixtures were
prepared, inoculated and incubated as described above.
Immediately after pesticide addition and at 5, 10, 15,
20 and 30 days later subsamples were removed and
pesticide residues were determined by HPLC.
