A Russian passenger jet which went 'missing' during its flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg with 224 people on board has crashed in Egypt.
A Russian passenger jet which reportedly went 'missing' with more than 200 people on board is believed to have crashed in Egypt.
The Airbus A-321, which was travelling from Egypt to Russia, disappeared from radar screens whilst in Cypriot airspace, according to Russia's RIA news agency.
A statement released by the Egyptian Prime Minister's office confirmed that a Russian passenger plane had crashed in central Sinai.
The bodies of those killed in the Russian airliner crash in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula have been flown back to St Petersburg.
Russia observed a day of mourning on Sunday to remember the 224 victims of the crash.
The plane, which was flying from Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh to Russia's St. Petersburg, lost contact with air traffic control about 25 minutes after take off.
