Emergency CT scan of the brain
History : suspected CVA
Technique : plain axial CT scan of the brain with 5 mm .slice thickness.
Findings : the study reveals small ill-defined hypodense lesion in the anterior limb of the right internal capsule there is no evidence of intracerebral hemorrhage or extraaxial midline shifted of brain herniation is noted
There is secretion in the right maxillary , bilateral ethmoid and bilateral frontal sinuses. The visualized orbits, the mastoid air cell and the rest the paranasal sinuses appear unremarkable.
No evidence of fracture skull is detected.
Impression : suspected lacunar infarction right internal capsule.
Suspected chronic right maxillary , bilateral ethmoid and frontal sinusitis.
