Timber species mixed system
Normally, the income of rubber smallholders
who operate this type of farming is high because the
income is from both rubber and wood products at the
same time and also, wood price is presently high. The
most common timber species grown are neem, and
teak. When asked for their opinions, smallholding
farmers practicing mixed farming were generally
satisfied with the various input-output characteristics
aspects. Many farmers, however, were less satisfied
with family income and savings (Figure 4).
