Conclusions
Nowadays, the environmental pollution is so important, especially
water pollution which will become vital subject in future. The
existing sanitary wastewater treatment package at South Pars Gas
processing plant consists of activated sludge and chlorination steps
that is ultimately diluted with sea water and discharged into the
marine environment. Recently, flow rate of wastewater to the
sanitary package is increased, and excessive foam has occurred in
this unit. In this study, various problems of the sanitary wastewater
treatment section were identified from observation and laboratory
results, and some technical solutions were suggested to improve
the current activated sludge process. One of the best methods to
upgrade the effluent of conventional treatment section is installation
of packing and cap in the aeration Tank to increase of efficiency;
injection of antifoam and hydrogen peroxide to neutralize
the toxic effects of d
