This is a particularly challenging assessment to document and analyze. At the very least, you will want to create a checklist of important points that the tableaus or models should include. With such a checklist, you can more easily note the presence or absence f these points, and the effectiveness and o creativity with which they are represented. You may want to share your checklist with class members who are serving as an audience at any given moment and enlist them in helping you document and assess the performances. If the performances are short, and in most cases they should be consider having them videotaped. Although the videotaped assessment cannot take the place of your"live" notes, it can allow you and the students study the group performances more carefully.
