Regarding うなぎ eel, I would like to give you one more superstition in Japan.
We believe, we should not eat うなぎ eel and 梅干 (umeboshi, a pickled plum) at the
same time. Doctors say it's non-sense, though. :P Actually, I haven't tried it yet. :)
Do you know umeboshi? It mostly tastes sour and salty. I like sweet one, which is
preserved in honey. 梅酒 Ume-shu (a kind of liqueur), which is made from 梅 plum,
is also nice. I'm not a heavy drinker
