As we know, Ecospace is a spatially explicit model for
policy evaluation that allows for considering the impact of MPAs
in an ecosystem (that is, trophic) context, and that relies on the
Ecopath mass-balance approach for most of its parameterization.
Therefore, there is potential for a large number of estimation errors
in the parameters of the EwE model used, and the problems of
parameter estimation for Ecospace are less well understood also,
though our results seem relatively insensitive to small changes in
parameters in the dispersal submodel.
