Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha on Friday called for a three-way meeting with Malaysia and Myanmar to try to resolve a regional human trafficking crisis after the discovery of a mass grave in southern Thailand. Thirty-three bodies, believed to be migrants from Myanmar and Bangladesh, have been found in graves over the past week in Songkhla Province, near the border with Malaysia. Three trafficking camps have also been found. On Friday, the Thai police also said that 111 people believed to be Rohingya migrants from Myanmar and Bangladesh had been found abandoned in Songkhla. The migrants had been left in the jungle after traffickers who smuggled them into the country fled, the police said.
