He returned to Britain where he had no home and no work or prospects of finding work. But his family and friends supported him. In 2001 he studied for a psychology degree at Middlesex University. He coauthored another book, “Back from the Brink: Coping with Stress” with Ivan Tyrell (Virgin Books, 2005) which picked up where “Rogue Trader” left off. Eventually, he became a much sought after speaker on Risk Management. In April 2005, he was appointed commercial manager at Galway United Football Club and was promoted to general manager in November 2005.
