Crude oil exports in 2004-2008 was always in the top of exporting industries in Vietnam with the high and stable growth rate, contributing an average of 15% of the total exporting turnover. However, after that the trend of crude oil exports have tended to decrease and this proportion fell to 11% in 2009 and 6.9% in 2010, behind products such as textiles (15.6%), footwear (7.1%) and fish (6.9%).The proportion of oil and gas export fell down to 7.2% and ranked No. 3.
