A forlorn koala has been drenched in floodwaters and perched itself on a fence post as severe storms batter the south-east of Australia.
The koala was soaked through as raging floods surrounded him on Wednesday afternoon in Stirling, south-west of Adelaide, a photograph by resident Russell Latter shows.
He wasn't the only one battered by the severe weather, as Melbourne and the rest of Victoria and South Australia was soaked.
Children and teachers had to be rescued from a primary school in Rapid Bay when it was cut off by floodwaters.
