The H-plane waveguide power divider can be simulated in commercial software
such as CST Microwave Studio. The post and iris structure is shown in Fig. 1.
which are typically used in H-plane T-junction for matching. The T-junction is
excited by dominant mode at the port 1 in order to divide power equally. In type1,
the dividing power is mostly controlled by the radius of post which is located in
the center of the waveguide. In type 2, the width and length of the iris which edge
is located in the center of the waveguide are key factors of the divider. These
parameters are optimized to deliver the maximum power.
