Besides, more than the significant challenges are the needs to develop and open to the international level. So the Lao government is facing with many issues in development circumstance such as: how to preserve and revitalize cultural heritage by integrating traditional cultures as folk tales, folk songs, and arts, also how to educate people to participate on cultural value preservation.

As the ancient and rich culture era of Laos, this includes the diverse musical among forty-nine ethnic groups. The facet of economic and cultural changes has taken place in Laos in recent years, the new need has come to research and preserve musical traditions. Musical traditions often are the first element of a cultural heritage to disappear during rapid economic and social changes. This is due to the fact that traditional music is handed down in a non-written form by memory from era to era.
