I stayed here 4 days as a solo traveler. The location was easy to find and central to most things. There's a great inexpensive Thai food place nearby (most restaurants in Trang seemed overpriced) The owners are an older couple and are AMAZINGLY NICE, professional, and helpful. Mr Joe sat down with me and highlighted a map of the region with things I might be interested in seeing. It was an invaluable resource, since website info was limited. I rented a motorbike from them as well. Their rates are very reasonable, and they offered discounts since I stayed multiple days. They were fully booked, so I was pleasantly surprised and grateful for their generosity. They did little things that were very appreciated...offering me tea as we wrote up the paperwork, and offering to bring a thermos of hot water to my room when I returned after a ride in the rain. The shower heater worked really well! I've only had cold showers for several weeks and this felt luxurious.
OK, so that's the good. There are some challenges though...there's a giant electronic billboard and clock tower at the nearest intersection. The billboard can be bright, and the tower makes noise at certain times of the day. It can be annoying if you want to sleep in. My room faced the street with a big balcony. The traffic is noisy, but I used earplugs and was fine.
I would definitely stay here again. When I travel, I try to find good people and the actual room is secondary. The room was clean, comfortable, and wifi was strong, but I would return to give business to Mr Joe and his wife.
