In contrast to many previous studies done by
collecting fungal particles without size selection, we used this two-
stage bio-aerosol cyclone personal sampler to collect fungal particles
size-selectively to evaluate farmers' levels of exposure to these fungal
contaminants. The associations of (1→3)-β-D-glucan with fungal
spores and fungal fragments were investigated; the results could be
used as a reference for future epidemiological studies on the health
effects of fungal exposure in Taiwan.
