5. Conclusion
From the above study it is concluded that smoking itself may produce free radicals which will increase the Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) activity and influence in the increase of levels of lipid peroxide (TBARS), total thiol and catalase. Increase in free radicals may utilise more of antioxidants such as Superoxide dismutase, reduced glutathione (GSH) which may further
influence the reduction in the level of these antioxidants in smokers.
