I found that the student research findings were able to answer the research questions. However, I viewed that the research questions were quite simple. One question, what are the levels of Korean residents’ adaptation? Another question is a Yes/ No question. I had suggested on such issue when I wrote my suggestions about thesis proposal which I sent it to the thesis committee on an examination day--October 8, 2013. However, I wrote that “the student could do that if it was possible.”
Now, I strongly suggest that the student should discuss in the Chapter V about some Korean culture which is unique or obviously different from Thai culture. Such culture is something like that ‘group culture,’ because (South) Korea is considered as a collectivistic society. That means Korean people are usually close long-term commitment to the member group. The student, therefore, can analyze such culture plays much or less obstacle to Korean people to adapt themselves into a different society.
The student’s work is satisfactory.
(Note: On Monday 21, 2014, I am going to join a thesis examination committee for Chitrada. I plan to meet the student, Khun Saranya, in order to discuss with her about my above comment.)
