The latter could be the recombinant protein that had been glycosylated at variable amounts in yeast, as seen in the expression of F. hepatica cathepsin B in Pichia (Beckham et al., 2006). In our previous study, the rFgCatB3 expressed in Pichia also showed two bands, one as a sharp band at 38–39 kDa and another bulk of the protein migrated as a smeared band ranging from 55–75 kDa (Sethadavit et al., 2009).
