Drought measures working to plan
The government committee handling the water crisis yesterday said that a distribution scheme and other steps to alleviate the results of drought had gone according to the plan. However, the government has warned farmers against second-crop paddy because the dramatic drop of water levels at the Bhumipol and Sirikit Dams, which regulate the amount of water in the Chao Praya River, could result in a failed crop due to lack of water irrgation.
