The ROI analysis carried out on the different deviant stimuli revealed
hemisphere effects in the HG (F(1, 12) = 6.13; p = 0.029) and
precuneus (F(1, 12) = 5.08; p = 0.044). In both regions activity
was significantly higher in the right hemisphere. An effect of the
preceding number of standards was found only in the HG ROI (F(2,
24) = 3.64; p = 0.042). However, planned contrasts between the
three different deviant types failed to reveal a significant increase
or decrease as a function of preceding repetitions.
