This has resulted in the need for additional research on the efficacy of using
ethanol byproducts in livestock diets as compared to traditional feeds such as feed grains, oil-seed meals, and forages. With
a large proportion of corn (Zea mays) being used for ethanol production, there is a need to further investigate other non-corn
alternatives that are both suitable for the production of ethanol, are easily grown in North America and their by-products
are suitable as livestock feedstuffs.
