According to Facebook user Thanawat Panthong, he claimed to be the manager and politely asked her to fill out a customer satisfaction survey in return for a gift set.
While she was focused on filling in the form, he calmly stole her phone. He then said he would go to get her the promised gift set. He got up, walked away and never returned.
Mr Thanawat's post quickly went viral and other netizens shared their own experiences.
Facebook user Aoey Ea'sc wrote that she saw a man of identical appearance at a shop in Central Rama II last year, and he also asked people to fill out questionnaires.
Another netizen commented that customers should be able to spot abnormal behaviour. Fast food restaurant employees would not disturb their customers, especially while they were eating. Customers can also identify employees as they wear uniforms.
As for the customer satisfaction survey, the restaurant likely received very low marks
